BATH & North East Somerset Council is inviting local people
to get active and enjoy the spring sunshine on a free health walk
to be held at the Botanical Gardens in Bath’s Royal Victoria Park
today (Tuesday, April 19).
The walk has been organised by the Council’s Walking for Life
Project which has been running for almost three years.
The project holds three weekly walks aimed at encouraging people
of all ages and abilities to become more active. These take place
in Oldfield Park and Timsbury and a baby and toddler buggy walk in
Royal Victoria Park is also on offer.
In addition the Council booklet ‘Why Not Walk’, which features
nine walks in and around the gardens and parks of Bath, is to be
reprinted and will be launched again at the walk on April 19.
Anyone wanting to take part in the walk should meet at the top
entrance to the Botanical Gardens at 2pm on Tuesday, April 19
(opposite Grand Dell). The walk is suitable for all abilities.
