Grab a bargain at latest furniture sale

BATH & North East Somerset Council is holding the latest of its furniture sales tomorrow (Tuesday, April 12) at Southdown Methodist Hall from 10am to 1pm.

And as an extra treat, those attending may win a donated hamper full of fresh fruit and vegetables donated by the Southside Food Co-operative.

Everyone who attends the event will be given a card as they arrive.  If they can fill the card with a stamp from each of the main exhibitors, they will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win the hamper.

The Southside Food Co-operative, who will be special guests at this event, sell fresh, high quality fruit, vegetables and eggs to local people at wholesale prices and are based in High Street, Twerton.

There will also be a wide variety of quality second hand furniture and appliances and bric-a-brac on sale as the SOFA Project and Genesis Furniture Project team up to provide a really comprehensive range of items to suit a wide variety of needs.

Bath & North East Somerset Council will be providing subsidised compost bins and equipment with free delivery for purchases on the day.  Free reusable bags will also be available.

In addition, the Sustainability Forum will be giving away sets of free low energy light bulbs to anyone wishing to claim them and the West Area Panel will be providing free refreshments to make the day a real treat for everyone who attends.

Altogether these add up to a whole lot of reasons for attending this very worthwhile event and furthermore, by offering your support and coming along you will be helping some very worthwhile environmental causes.
