Last chance to catch breathtaking exhibitions

Acrobats by Ana Maria Pacheco

LOCAL people have just a few days left to catch the Matisse and Ana Maria Pacheco exhibitions at the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath before they close to the public on Sunday, April 24.

‘Drawing with Scissors’ gives a brilliant overview of Henri Matisse’s late work and includes iconic images such as The Snail and Blue Nudes.

And ‘Some Exercise of Power’ features larger than life wooden sculptures by the Brazilian born artist Ana Maria Pacheco that deal with issues of control and the exercise of power.

Jon Benington, Manager of the Victoria Art Gallery, said: “These two exhibitions have been incredibly popular with visitors. If you’ve not been to the Gallery to see them, this really is your last chance. We look forward to seeing you.”
