Bus passes and travel tokens available for collection soon

FROM next week, people entitled to concessionary bus fares will be able to apply for their new passes.

Application forms for new and renewal half fares bus passes can be obtained from Post Offices in Bath & North East Somerset from Thursday, April 14

Existing Passes dated March 31 will be accepted on buses until May 30.

Application forms and Travel Tokens to the value of £25 will also be available from Thursday, April 14 from Council cash offices at Guildhall, Bath, The Hollies in Midsomer Norton and Keynsham Town Hall. 

Tokens may be used in taxis (check the driver will accept them), on train journeys and on buses and Community Buses including Dial-A-Ride services in Keynsham and Norton Radstock.

Postal applications for tokens will only be available to those who are disabled or frail.  Contact the Concessionary Travel Officer, Riverside South, Temple Street, Keynsham BS31 1LA.    All other applications should be made in person at Cash Offices.

Concessions are available to all permanent residents of Bath & North East Somerset aged 60 years and over and persons with a disability. See details on forms.

Only one concession may be claimed in any one financial year – such as a Bus Pass or Travel Tokens, not both.

Half Fare Bus Passes may now be used in Bristol City, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
