NEW state-of-the-art touch screen kiosks offering 360 degree
tours of the Roman Baths have been introduced by Bath & North
East Somerset Council.
The screens are specifically designed for disabled people or
anyone who is unable to access the site due to its uneven pavements
and numerous steps.
The screen can be used in conjunction with the audio-guides at
the Roman Baths to give a complete and thorough virtual tour.
Visitors will be able to see film clips and computer
reconstructions of the complex as well as looking in depth at some
of the most famous artefacts found at the site over the years.
The Roman Baths is free to all disabled people due to the fact
that access for people with mobility difficulties is
restricted.
Twice a year the site is made accessible to everyone on one of
the open access evenings when the majority of the site is ramped
and staff are on hand to help.
