The editor of the Georgian Newspaper Project writes:
The initial and continuing support of Bath Central Library is
gratefully acknowledged, particularly in making the microfilm
versions and hard copy originals of the Bath Chronicle available,
and for the regular use of their facilities. The Internet
version of this project is sponsored jointly by Bath Central
Library & Bath Record Office.
This database could not have been achieved without the
dedication, and continuing hard work of a loyal and industrious
team of abstractors, transcribers & primary editors,
proof-readers, checkers etc.
The vital & regular contributions of the following is
acknowledged: Beryl Brooks, Ian Chasey, John Ennor, Peggy Freeman,
Michèle Gross, Mary Jackson, Mike Renton, Marian Turner, Elizabeth
Vincent, Donald Straughan, Penelope Symonds, Graham Wilson, Frances
Wissun & Audrey Woods.
The input of Katherine White in the original decision to use
keyword indexing was crucial.
Colin Johnston and Lucy Powell (Bath Record Office) hosted the
project when the Library was closed for refurbishment, and continue
to provide comment & valuable advice on many aspects of
Georgian life & times.
Finally, the database could not have been made public without
the expertise of David Donovan (IT department of Bath & North
East Somerset Council), and the initial help of James Willoughby
(Bath Record Office, Guildhall Archives).
