Heritage Services manages the Council's museums, record office
and historic public buildings. We care for the unique collections
in them and make them accessible through study facilities,
displays, exhibitions, web sites, special events and formal and
informal education programmes.

Services we offer
Daytime services include permanent displays, temporary
exhibitions, state-of-the-art interpretation, guided tours, study
facilities and museum shops. Staff offer an enquiries and
identification service and are available to give talks to community
groups and specialist societies.
Private Hire
The historic venues can be hired for various private functions,
including conferences, receptions, dinners, parties,
civil weddings and wedding receptions. For more details
