Advice and Support for all Women

Sportsister has been set up to become a voice for women’s sport in the UK.

We want to make sport attractive and appealing to women. We don’t want females to feel intimidated by sport.

We want sport to be accessible for all, whether you are a competitor, an interested spectator, a keep fit fan or simply someone looking to get involved.

We want to present the sports world to you in a female friendly and supportive manner.

We will bring you everything a female that’s interested in sport could want to read. We have the latest news, the best product reviews and interviews with some of the country’s leading sportswomen.

We will also give you help and advice to get you out of the house and being more active with our getting started guides and our expert training plans. There is nutrition advice, healthy living reports, active holiday suggestions and much, much more…..

So whether you are already a keen sports fan or someone that needs convincing that sport is for them, we hope that you will find lots of interesting things to read on Sportsister.

Who are we?

Sportsister was launched in 2008 by Danielle Sellwood and Louise Hudson.

Danielle has over fifteen years experience in the sports industry, working as a senior designer for many popular sports brands. She was also the Active Sports editor at wgsn.com, the world’s leading international online news and information service for the global style industries. More recently she established Grace Design & Consulting, a sports design and marketing consultancy. She is a keen sportswoman and former international canoeist. She regularly enjoys badminton, runs half marathons and is a keen surfer.

Louise has worked in the fashion and design industry for seven years. She was the Youth/Junior editor at wgsn.com which is where she and Danielle first met. In 2006 they set up Grace Design & Consulting, which has developed in to a successful sports design and marketing consultancy. She is a keen traveller and loves sports too. Top of the list are snowboarding, tennis and surfing (badly!)
