How much funding is available for my arts
project ?
B&NES Arts Development Team manages an annual arts project
fund. Applications can be submitted for up to £3,000 a year. Awards
will be assessed against the Arts Development Team's current
priorities and funding criteria.

Where can I exhibit my artwork?
There are a range of gallery spaces in Bath and North East
Somerset, including commercial galleries and curated exhibition
spaces. The contact details of most commercial galleries can be
found by searching Yellow Pages online
Commercial galleries generally charge artists a commission fee on
work sold. Commission rates vary between galleries and should be
agreed in writing before any work is exhibited.
Curated spaces include, Bath Central Library, Green Park
Brasserie, The Victoria Art Gallery and The Michael Tippet Centre.

Arts groups and organisations have previously made use of vacant
shops and offices as temporary exhibition spaces. To find out more

How can I make contact with other
artists?
Join BANA
BANA (Bath Area Network for Artists) was established by artists,
for artists. It is an artist–led network working to raise the
profile of arts activity in the Bath and North East Somerset
area with the aim of establishing and strengthening links between
artists, artists’ groups and art promoters, and to advocate for
increased investment in local arts activities. They hold regular
Artists' Cafés where artists can meet and exchange information.

Contact Bath Society of Artists
Bath Society of Artists aims to:
- Form an outlet for the creative activity of artists,
professional and amateur, in Bath and its environs
- Promote activities to foster members' interest and extend their
knowledge of art;
- Stimulate local interest in art ,emphasising that there is a
large and lively group active in and around the City;
- Promote the friendly link with the Civic Authority leading to
new projects of mutual benefit.
Members are elected by the Executive
Committee. Anyone wishing to join must have had work shown at the
Annual Exhibition for two years, for which there is a selection
procedure. Members become entitled to submit four works, again
subject to selection; non-members may put forward two. There is an
opening ceremony conducted by an established painter or sculptor
with influence in the art world.
The Bath Society of Artists has a Clubroom
Committee encouraging contact between members. The Committee
organises monthly meetings for lectures, criticism, film shows,
demonstrations and social evenings. Non Members are welcome to
attend lectures, details on the web site.
