Your library PIN

How do I get my PIN?

Your PIN (a 4 digit Personal Identification Number) is issued when you join the library.  You can change the number at any time if you wish.

Why do I need a PIN?

Your security...

  • To stop other people accessing personal information on your account.  It's in your interest to keep the number secret and safe.
  • Some library transactions incur charges - for example reservations and certain renewals.  If someone else knows your PIN they can add charges to your account on your library ticket.

To use certain library services...

  • Reserving items online
  • Finding out what you have on loan
  • Renewing items online or by the 24 hour phone line.

I've forgotten my PIN - what do I do?

Simply take your library card into any Bath & North East Somerset library.  We can't give details of your PIN to anyone else, or over the phone, for security reasons - so please don't ask!
