Book Ahead
Borrow Library Books for your Early Years Setting
BOOK AHEAD
A new DCSF funded initiative called Book Ahead has
enabled Bath and North East Somerset Library Service to purchase
additional books for 3 to 5 year olds. These books are primarily
for the use of Early Years Settings to promote early reading skills
for all children and are available to borrow from your local
library.
All Early Years Settings can join the library and can then
borrow picture books for your 3 – 5 year olds. Membership
allows the loan of up to 20 picture books for 4 weeks.
In order to register we simply require one member of staff to be
named as the contact and responsible person on the library card
Your local library also offers Storytimes for pre-school
children and Bookstart Baby Bounce and Rhyme for babies which are
an ideal time to arrange a library visit with children.
