'Gold standard' GCSE results increase in Bath and North East
Somerset
Bath & North East Somerset Council is congratulating
students and secondary schools on this year’s GCSE results which
build on the success of previous years.
A number of schools are reporting their best ever provisional
results, with the percentage of students achieving the "gold
standard" achievement of five A* to C passes, including English and
Mathematics, showing a healthy increase on previous years.
Emphasis has been put on this standard by the Government this year,
and Bath & North East Somerset schools and students have risen
to the challenge.
