TARGET GROUP: For all Health Care Assistants
and Support Workers working with people who use disposable
pads
LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the end of the course
participants will:
- Have a basic understanding of how your bladder works
- Know the symptoms relating to the 5 different types of urinary
incontinence
- Be able to identify issues around continence care and infection
control
- Recognise some of the reusable aids available to help patients
and carers manage incontinence
- Be able to fit the different types of disposable pads that are
available to your patients,
- Know how to access help from the Continence Promotion
Unit
