AIM OF COURSE: To increase understanding and
knowledge in caring for clients that have Hickman/PiCC lines as
part of their care.
TARGET GROUP: This course is aimed specifically
at clinical staff who are required to manage the care of
Hickman/PiCC lines as part of the client orientated care
package.
LEARNING OUTCOMES By the end of the course
participants will:
- Have increased their knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Have the skills to manage care of Hickman/PiCC lines
- Have an increased understanding of Contra-indications of
use
- Have discussed professional/legal aspects of line
care
