Advanced Syringe Driver Training Graseby MS26
AIM OF COURSE: To increase knowledge and skills
in the use and management of syringe drivers.
TARGET GROUP: This advanced level training
session is aimed at hospital and community based qualified nurses
who already use syringe drivers at basic level.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of the course
participants will:
- Understand the indications and contra-indications of syringe
driver use
- Be able to make appropriate decisions regarding the use of
syringe drivers for difficult symptom control
- Be able to identify appropriate drugs, the combinations,
compatibilities and conversion doses in syringe drivers
- Have discussed professional/legal aspects
