The Children's Planning & Review Group carries out the following functions:

• Reviews of Looked After Children
• Custodian of the Child Protection Register
• Child Protection Conference chairing
• Strategic Planning for Children and Families Services
• Joint planning with other council services and agencies  
• Development and maintenance of policy, procedures and guidance for children and families staff
• Managing the Teenage Pregnancy Strategy

The group plays a lead role in developing the Children and Young Peoples Plan which is the 3 year strategic overview plan for services for all children and young people in Bath and North East Somerset.
