Local Provider Forum

For Care Home, Domiciliary Care & Day Care Services

Bath & North East Somerset's Social & Housing Services, as well as being a direct provider of care, purchases care from over 200 hundred care homes (locally and nationally), from approximately 20 domiciliary care providers and providers of day care.

In order to promote partnership working, the Local Authority  facilitates a Local Provider's Forum to represent providers through informed discussion and information sharing.

When 'vacancies' occur, then new Provider representatives are nominated and elected by local Providers.

This Forum, which meets every two months, enables the Local Authority and our statutory partners, the B&NES Primary Care Trust (PCT) and the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), to engage with local Providers of care.

The links on the right of this page lead to information on  the Terms of Reference for the Forum, and a full list of members of the Forum and their contact details.
