Inter-agency Training Team

The Training Management Committee oversees the training provided by the Training Team. The Training Team is made up of suitably experienced practitioners from LSCB agencies, who work regularly together in the field of Child Protection as part of agency service provision to children and families.

The Inter-Agency Training Team meet on a regular basis to plan, develop and deliver training in the field of child protection at Levels 2 and 3 of the Training Strategy. Membership of the Training Team will be annually reviewed and new membership nominations considered by the Training Management Committee.

Training commitments are provided in addition to practitioners main area of practice and therefore relies upon a great deal of good will on behalf of the individuals and agencies concerned, as well as effective working relationships and mutual understanding.

Membership of the training team comprises of representatives from a variety of agencies and organisations, including;

  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS)
  • Avon and Somerset Police
  • B&NES Primary Care Trust
  • Royal United Hospital
  • Children’s Services
