Children added to the register
During the year 2007/08 72 children were added to the register,
the highest number since 1999 (73 registrations), see figure
7.
The registration rate for 2006/07 was 21 children per 10,000
children in the population. This was below the average for
the comparator group of local authorities (average 24 children per
10,000) and well below the average result for all England, 30
children per 10,000, see figure 8.
