Percentage of children not registered at case conferences

Not all children who are the subject of an initial conference are registered.  In 2007/08 the percentage of children not registered was 9%, slightly below the average for the last 4 years (10%),  see figure 13. 

The Bath & North East Somerset 2006/07 rate was 6% which was well below the average for ‘like’ local authorities (11%) and the average for England (16%), see figure 14.

Section 47 enquiries

During 2007/08, 48 children were recorded as having been the subject of a S47 enquiry.  This was the lowest number ever, see figure 15. 

The Bath & North East Somerset 2006/07 rate (24 children investigated per 10,000 children in the population ) was well below the average for the group of ‘like’ authorities (42) and the average for England (67), see figure 16.
