Performance Indicators
The LSCB is the lead group for the following National Indicators
in line with the Staying Safe Action Plan:-
N147 People killed or seriously injured in road
traffic accidents (includes young people aged 16-18).
Numbers of children and young people victims of crime.
N148 ChildrenNumber of 0 – 15 year olds killed or
seriously injured in road traffic accidents (0-15)..
N159 Initial assessments for children’s social care
carried out within 7 working days
of
referral.
N160 Core assessments for children’s social care
that were carried out within 35 working days of their
commencement.
N161 Timeliness of placementsStability of looked
after children for adoption (adopted following an agency decision
that the child should be placed for adoption).
N162 Stability of placements for looked after
children: number of moves (percentage of children looked after with
3 or more placements during the year).
N163 Stability of care placements of looked after
children: length of placement.
N164 Child Protection Plans lasting two years or
more.
N165 Children becoming subject of a child protection
plan for a second or subsequent time.
N166 Looked after children cases which were reviewed
within required timescales.
N167 Child Protection cases which were reviewed
within required timescales.
N168 Referrals to children’s social care going onto
an initial assessment.
N169 Children who have experienced bullying.
N170 Hospital admissions caused by unintentional and
deliberate injuries to children and young people.
N171 Children who have run away from home/care
overnight
Progress with targets for these national indicators will be
reported quarterly to the LSCB and reviewed.
As necessary the LSCB will also request reports regarding other
national indicators when there are safeguarding issues, for
example
: Children missing school.
: Percentage of looked after children placed
for adoption.
