Rethink Rubbish Partnership

Rethink Rubbish is a partnership of independent, local organisations who work in Bath and North East Somerset to encourage everyone to reduce the amount of rubbish that they produce. The partnership is made up of the following organisations.

Bath & North East Somerset Council

Provides a range of services to help people reduce, re-use, recycle and compost their household waste. www.bathnes.gov.uk

Children's Scrapstore

Collects safe, clean scrap from businesses for re-use by community groups as a low cost creative resource. www.childrensscrapstore.co.uk

ECT Recycling

Provides kerbside and office/commercial recycling collections. www.ectgroup.co.uk

Envolve

Envolve offers practical and strategic advice to organisations wishing to reduce the impact they make on the environment.  They work with organisations from large businesses to small social enterprises, using their wide range of expertise to reduce waste and bottom-line costs, save energy and resources.  They also have a specialist education team which supports schools and their communities in developing knowledge, skills and values for sustainable living, particularly around Eco-Schools. www.envolve.org.uk

The Genesis Furniture Project

Collects and distributes used furniture, appliances and other household items. www.genesistrust.org.uk

Somer Community Housing Trust

Promotes and supports the reduction, re-use and recycling of waste materials as a responsible landlord. www.somer.org.uk

Resource Futures (formerly The Recycling Consortium)

Resource Futures have worked on various projects in Bath and North East Somerset including the Real Nappy Project, school projects, door to door canvassing and the Pledges Win Prizes pilot project. www.recyclingconsortium.org.uk

The SOFA Project

Collects and sells used furniture and appliances to people on low incomes.
