WRAP funded project for flats and shared
houses
For some people, the nature of their accommodation can make it
harder to use and find out about the recycling services,
particularly when they move into new or temporary accommodation, so
funding has been granted to try and make this easier.
The project involves visiting properties to inform people about
the services on offer and provide them with an information pack
including posters with collection days and magnets and stickers
showing what can be recycled.
The project will be supported by adverts, roadshows, displays
and leaflets and we are inviting people to sign up for a quarterly
email to keep up to date with changes and developments to the
services.
We are looking to contact landlords directly to help keep them
up to date with the recycling services and we are looking for
opportunities to visit resident and management groups to talk to
them and answer questions about the services on offer.
For further information about the project, please contact
Council Connect on 01225 39 40 41 or email councilconnect@bathnes.gov.uk.
Notes on the funding
This project is funded by the WRAP Behavioural Change Local
Fund.
WRAP (the Waste & Resources Action Programme) is a major UK
programme established to promote resource efficiency.
Its particular focus is on creating stable and efficient markets
for recycled materials and products and removing the barriers to
waste minimisation, re-use and recycling.
A not-for-profit company, WRAP is backed by
substantial Government funding from Defra and the devolved
administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
