Key Stages:
Further Proposed Modifications
The Bath & North East Somerset Local Plan has
entered its final stages of completion (September 2007). The
latest version of the Local Plan being used for Development Control
decision making and was agreed by Council in March 2007.
Two Proposed Further Modifications to the Local Plan were also
agreed by the Council on 29 March 2007 and placed on deposit for a
six week period of public consultation between 10 May and 20 June
2007.
A report summarising the key issues arising from the
consultation will be considered by the Council on 13 September
2007. A 'Schedule of Proposed Responses to the Representations on
Further Modifications to the Local Plan' forms Appendix 1 to the
Report but will not be attatched to the report due to the large
size of the document. This Schedule is available to download at the
top right of this page.
The Council report and the Schedule will be made available for
public inspection from 6 September 2007 at the following
locations:

The consultation process runs from 10th May 2007 to 20th
June 2007. You can only access the consultation documents between
midnight on 10th May and 5pm 20th June, if you experience

Proposed Modifications to the Bath and North East
Somerset Local Plan
The Proposed Modification to the Bath and North
East Somerset Local Plan underwent a public
consultation between November and December 2006.
This generated in excess of 2600 representations both in
support and objection to the proposals made.
The responses to the representations made on the Proposed
Modification to the Local Plan will be considered by the Council on
29th March 2007.
Bath & North East Somerset Local Plan Inspector's
Report
Following the Local Plan Inquiry into objections
to the Bath & North East Somerset Local Plan, which took place
between February and May 2005, the Council has now received the
Inspector's Report.
The
Inspector's Report can be viewed from the 17th May
2006. It can also be inspected from this date in Council
offices at Trimbridge House, Bath; Riverside and the Town Hall,
Keynsham; The Hollies, Midsomer Norton and all public libraries
within the District including the mobile library.
A CD version of the Inspectors Report is also available for
purchase at £5 including p&p charges.
NB Following receipt of the Inspector's Report in May 2006
the Council has subsequently received Addendum Reports from the
Local Plan Inspector to clarify matters in respect of the site at
South West Keynsham and the site at
Hayesfield Playing Field, Bath respectively.
These documents can also be inspected at the locations listed
above. The Council intends to undertake further publicity on
the reports.
Please do not send any comments on the Inspector's Report to the
Council at this stage.
Revised Deposit Draft Local Plan 2003
The Revised Deposit Draft Local Plan was
approved for Development Control purposes by the Council in July
2003.
