Lost your dog?
Report your missing dog to the
Dog Warden as soon as possible. It may have already been
picked up. Contact your local
police station and give a clear description of your dog.
Contact the
Council Kennels to see if it has been handed in.
Contact the
Dog Warden giving your details and a description of the
dog. If an address is available on the dog then try to return
it to the dog’s owner. Take the dog to your local
police station. If out of office hours and you are
comfortable with the dog, hold on to it over night, then contact
the
Dog Warden first thing the following morning.
Get medical attention first and then report the incident to the
police and
Dog Warden.
Run over/knocked down a dog in your motor
vehicle?
Report the accident to the
police within 24 hours – seek advice from the
Dog Warden if you know whose dog it is, but don’t want to
confront the owner.

the
Kennel Club. If you want an older dog or a non-pedigree
puppy then contact a dog rescue organisation.
Contact the local
Dogs Home; be prepared to be put on a waiting list.
