Our environment plays a key part in our lives, from what people term the 'natural environment' to the places we live in.

Bath and North East Somerset Council is actively involved with protecting the natural environment through its successful waste and recycling schemes, as well as through licensing and street cleaning.

Planning Services are responsible for the provision of Planning Policies and Controls, and for specialist advice and guidance on the historic and natural environment within Bath and North East Somerset, all of which contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the area's rich heritage.
