The local Health
Visitors work closely with Keynsham
Children's Centre staff, providing health information and
support. They are also involved in many of the groups at Keynsham
Children's Centre.
Stay & Play groups
for 0-5 year olds – opportunities for
parents and carers to meet with other families locally and gain
information, health advice and access to other services.
- Tuesdays 1.00-2.30 pm
- Thursdays 10.00am - 12pm
Outreach Family Support
Workers – visit parents in their own homes to provide
support, information and advice on child behaviour
and development, parenting, play and relationships, keeping
safe, managing family issues and accessing other services.
Counselling

Parents - a home based support service
Parenting Programmes –
structured programmes run to support you in your parenting.
Parent Support Group –
drop-in support group with crèche for 0-5 year olds:

- Breast Friends - Wednesdays 1.30-3pm
Story Talk Language
Group – group to support talking and listening skills
(referrals only).
New Way - help and support for families
suffering domestic violence available for formal discussions.
Playsacks - Playsacks
are available for families to borrow to help children develop
their language, communication and play skills.
Support for mothers suffering with
Post Natal Depression – an arts based support group
and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy courses offer support &
advice to mums suffering with postnatal depression
or anxiety.
Support to Stop
Smoking - support to help parents, parents-to-be and
carers to give up smoking and/or help them to create a healthier
home environment for themselves and their children.
Keynsham Childminding
Group – (open to all Childminders) once a
fortnight.
Healthy Eating Workshops &
Courses – available to parents and carers who
would like information on good nutrition, health eating and gaining
practical cooking skills.

development of services that make a difference to you.
