All primary, junior, special and secondary schools offer instrumental tuition to pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2. Currently, over 2,000 pupils receive tuition offered in the following instruments:

French/Tenor Horn	Voice	Piano/Keyboard
Oboe	Trumpet	Cornet
Keyboard	Cello	Clarinet
Double Bass	Saxophone	Euphonium
Percussion	Electric/Bass Guitar	Recorder/Fife
Bassoon	Baritone	Drum Kit
Trombone	Tuba	Ocarina

As well as in-school tuition, children and young people can attend one of the four Music Centres which meet on a weekly basis during term-time.The Centres provide rehearsal and performance opportunities in Bands, Orchestras, Ensembles and Choirs for Primary and Secondary school children. They are led by qualified music teachers who are used to working with young people.
