APEX (All our pupils are) Able Pupils Extending
Opportunities
‘We want all Children and Young People to do better in life than
they ever thought they could. We will give children and young
people the help that they need to do this’
(Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority, 2005)
...and as one of our 9 year old pupils said, "Nothing is
impossible to a child with imagination."
What floats my boat?
What do I do that I value?
How can I improve what I am doing?
How can I contribute to good
learning journeys?
What helps me feel it is OK
to work hard at something and succeed?
These are the sort of questions that the APEX project is
helping all children, young people and educators ask and
answer.
In Bath and North East Somerset we believe that all children and
young people are capable of surprising us and themselves as they
work on developing talents to create, value and offer their
gifts. We are developing inclusive and inclusional
gifted and talented educational practice, provision and theory
to improve the quality of the education all our children and
young people experience.
