Postal Votes

If you cannot go to your polling station in person on the day of the election, you can apply to vote by post.

To request a form, please contact Electoral Services (contact numbers below) or alternatively, download an application form to vote by post from the menu to the right of this text.

Applications close eleven working days before an election. The deadline to apply for a postal vote at the European Parliamentary Election in June is 5pm, Tuesday 19 May. Tuesday 19 May is also the deadline to change existing postal applications.

If you have applied for a postal vote, a postal voting pack will be sent to you about 10 days before the election. You must complete and return your postal vote as soon as possible. The Returning Officer must receive your postal vote by 10pm on the day of the election.

If you are given a postal vote, you will not be entitled to vote in person at your polling station.
