Bath & North East Somerset Council runs UK Parliament and
European Parliament elections, district council and parish council
elections.
Local Government Elections - including district council, parish and
town councils - take place every four years.The latest local
government election took place on 3 May 2007. The next
scheduled district council elections will be in May 2011.
UK parliamentary elections can be called at any time within five
years of the previous general election. The last election was held
on 6 May 2010.
Elections for the European Parliament take place once every five
years. The last election was held on Thursday 4th June
2009.
You will only be able to vote if your name is included on the
Register of Electors.
On election day you can vote by going to your local polling
station, which will be open from 7am to 10pm. However, if you are
unable to visit the
polling station in person, it is possible to
vote by post or
by proxy.
