Paying Somer Housing Rent
How to pay your rent
It is important that Somer collects the rents and service
charges payable for the homes it provides. This rent is used to
cover the costs of maintaining and managing your home and carrying
out essential repairs and future improvements.
Somer offers a number of different ways rent to be
paid. Somer aim to make it as easy and convenient as possible
for you.
Post Office: you can use your swipe payment
method card at any Post Office to pay your rent. Payment can be
made using cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Post
Office Counters Ltd.
PayPoint: you can make a cash payment at any
shop, garage displaying the PayPoint sign. You must present your
payment card at the shop with your payment and will be issued with
a receipt for the payment. Payments can only be made in cash.
Standing Order: if you have a bank account you
can pay your rent direct from the bank. You can contact us to send
a form that you will need to complete and return to your bank.
By Cheque: you can send a cheque made payable
to Somer. You will be sent a receipt for your payment. Please
remember to put your name, address and rent reference on the back
of the cheque.
In Person: you can pay your rent in person at
Bath & North East Somerset Council offices at The Guildhall in
Bath, The Hollies in Midsomer Norton and the Town Hall in Keynsham.
You should take your rent payment card with you and will always be
issued with a receipt for your payment. Payment can be made by cash
or cheque.
If you have lost your swipe card, just pop into any local office
and request a new card, or phone 01225 366000 and we will arrange
to order you a new one.
