Services available at this Office
Council Connect can be found through the
Cashier's Entrance to the Guildhall (the far left entrance as you
face the building). Automatic doors lead into the main building and
level access entry is available into the customer services
area.
We've recently refurbished the office to improve the facilities
for you, so we'd like to know what you think. You can find

Services you can access include:
The self-service area (situated through the
door on your right as you come into the building):
- Make payments for
council services using the self-service kiosks
- Access the Council's website using the self-service
computers
- Use the telephones to contact other Council
departments

customer enquiries including the following):
Electoral Services can also be found through
this entrance. Turn left past the main
Customer Services area - Viewings of full
electoral register, Obtain application forms and any
electoral queries.

How to get to there
On foot: There are four entrances to the Guildhall which you can use. Two of
these entrances give you access to the indoor Guildhall Market
which is open Monday to Saturday from 8.00am to 5.30pm and has
around 30 stalls. Either side of the High Street market entrance
are the main entrance and the Cashier's Entrance.

By train: The bath station is
called BATH SPA. There are numerous connections to London
Paddington. Major cities such as Birmingham and Manchester are
easily accessible and have frequent services via
Bristol. Visit the

By bus: Ask at any London
hotel or Tourist Information Centre for details of day trips
to Bath by coach from the major coach tour operators.National
Express operates a regular bus service from London Victoria and
also a direct service from Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The
dropping-off point is at the bus station next to Bath Spa railway

By car: The centre of Bath is within easy
walking distance for able-bodied people using the Park and Ride or
any city centre car park. Park and Ride facilities are open Monday
- Saturday 06.30 - 20.30.

By bicycle: There are several routes into Bath
avoiding the city traffic:
From the west: The Bristol and Bath Railway Path forms part of
the "Sustrans" route 4. The path is 19kms long and level nearly
throughout, offering a charming path for cycling or walking
between the two cities.
From the north: You can avoid the traffic by joining the Kennet
and Avon Canal at Bathampton and then coming into the city along
Great Pulteney Street.
From the east and south: Join the Kennet and Avon Canal at
Dundas for the final 6kms into the city.The Kennet and Avon Canal
is also used by walkers, boaters and anglers.

- Guildhall market: The public market in the Guildhall has
every and anything you might be looking for... Café, Hardware,
Books, Jewellery, Fancy Dress, Sweets, Cold Drinks, Birthday Cards,
Haircuts, Bags, Hot Crepes, Rugs, Flags, Haberdashery, Hair
Products, Cooked Meats, Pet Foods, Ethnic and Vegetarian Foods,
Giftware, Key Cutting, Bric-a-Brac, Cheese, Filled Baguettes,
Bacon, French Foods, Leather goods, Balloons, Home ware, Freshly
Ground Coffee, Electrical, Takeaway Illy Coffee.

- Toilets: No public toilets on site.

- Access to Guildhall market is through the front entrance, turn
right - press disabled access button for entry.
The Guildhall as a venue:
The magnificent Banqueting Room hung with original Georgian
paintings can accommodate up to 360 people theatre style for a
conference or 200 for a dinner. Several smaller rooms are available
within the building for breakout rooms, exhibitions or
receptions.
The Banqueting Room is can be viewed by members of the
public, at the councils discretion, between
09:00 - 17:00, Mondays to Fridays.
