Towards 2013 Economic Development Strategy evolved through the growth of a partnership between stakeholders in the Bath and North East Somerset area, as well as with sub-regional and regional organisations.  The Partnership has defined a series of actions within the Strategy through which the Partnership vision for Bath and North East Somerset can be achieved;

"To develop a thriving, distinctive, forward thinking and sustainable economy for Bath and North East Somerset"

Towards 2013 is structured around four building blocks of economic development; Business Creation and Growth, Community Regeneration, Environment and Infrastructure and Skills and Training, with recognition of the overarching themes of sustainability, partnership and inclusion.

Although Towards 2013 sets out the actions over 10 years, the document remains relevant through an on-going review process undertaken by the Partnership.  This review is informed by research and intelligence gathering undertaken by the Partnership.
