If you are the person or business liable to pay Council Tax or
Business Rates, you can now view your accounts online.
This
service will allow you to view:
- a full statement of your account
- a list of your payments
- the instalments to be paid
- discount or exemption details
Your account details are held securely, so to access them you
will need to register. Once you have registered you can check your
account at anytime you wish.
Paying Online
Bath and North East Somerset Council has set up
two services that are always available irrespective of
time or day; you will need your account or invoice reference
to use these services at your convenience. These options
are:
- Online Payments - pay via the web
- Automated Telephone Payments - 0845 1204

This is a new service and currently you can pay
Council Tax, Business Rates, Council mortgages, commercial property
rent and Council invoices. If there are any payments you would like
to make that covered by the above please either
email us or let us know through our feedback form.
Please note that it may take up to two working days for these
payments to show on your account.
If you are making a payment in response to any Reminder
notice or Court Summons please pay the amount requested in full to
avoid any further recovery action. If you have any queries about a

We have set up a service to provide you
with access to information 24 hours a day, 356 days a year.
The Automated Telephone Information Service gives you instant
access to information about Council Tax, Housing Benefits and
Council Tax Benefits and the facility to order various forms. The
lines are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

This is an automated service, however in order to help you get
to the information you are most interested as quickly as possible,
we have set up "hot keys" - a number you can press on your
telephone that by-passes some of the menu
options straight to the pertinent options - that can be used
