Supporting People

Who We Are

In April 2003 a new government programme was set up called "Supporting People".

We have a pot of money to pay for housing services and supporting people.

In Bath and North East Somerset Supporting People gives money to lots of different organisations who provide support.

We support about 3,000 different people.

Our Plans

To provide housing support services that meet the needs of local people who may be vulnerable

Being vulnerable can mean that you may be at risk or open to danger from other people and may need help to keep safe

We aim to offer:

High quality support links to other services like

Who we work with:

  • Older people who need support
  • Disabled people
  • People with mental health problems
  • People with learning difficulties
  • People who misuse drugs or alcohol
  • Homeless people
  • People with HIV/AIDS
