Sheltered Housing and Long Term Schemes
Most tenants living in sheltered housing schemes are charged for
housing support services. However, if you receive Housing
Benefit you are entitled to have your support charge paid for
you. This is the case even if you only receive a small amount
of Housing Benefit each week.
If you do not receive Housing Benefit but have savings of less
than £22,250 you can apply for a Fairer Charging Financial
Assessment to assess whether we might be able to help with your
support costs.
Other Services
Service users of short term services which aim to bring about
independent living within two years will not be charged.
For a full definition of 'long term' and 'short term' servcies

SP Charging Policy.
