Extra Care Housing
What is Extra Care Housing?
Extra Care sheltered housing provides older people, who have
some care and housing needs, with an assured tenancy in a
self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme.
A trained care team will be based in the same building to assist
with personal care and any other tasks that cannot be managed
alone.

An assessment of your needs must be completed by a social
worker.
