There are two ways in which the Council can assist with finding vacant commercial premises.

Council owned property

The Council also owns a number of shops, offices and industrial units in Bath, Keynsham and Norton Radstock, which are managed by the Commerical Property Team.  For further information of the Council's retail properties within the City see our Bath Retail Brochure (Linked to pdf 1032kb).

To see which properties are currently available, see list above.

For information on renting a Council owned property, including land and stalls in The Guildhall Market, contact Property Services on (01225) 477172 or email PALS Admin Helpdesk

  • The Council has produced a Guide for tenants of their commercial property, briefly explaining the main points contained in their leases.
  • A Guide for Tenants

Non Council owned property

The Economic Development Service keep a Register containing details of both Council and privately owned commercial properties and land available for sale or rent. The Register is updated on a quarterly basis and its is possible for staff to search its database for properties that match your requirement. The results can be posted or e-mailed to you. You can search the Property Register on-line here www.business-matters.biz
